Simple fun and turned out really cute. The pictures just don't show how cute this style turned out.
I made a far lateral part and started the frenchbraid on her left side and braided back a little ways to make the braid look like a headband that had been pushed back to the ear line.
Braid down a little ways and secure with an elastic.
Do the same to the other side. The hardest part is making sure the braid line up on the top of her head.
Once the braids are done pull them tight and secure with an elastic at the base of her head under all her other hair.

Beautiful! I have the same problem as you. One of my daughters has really "good" hair and the toddler has really thin hair. I love looking at your blog because your styles will either fit one or the other one of my daughters.
