I just wanted to let everyone know the story of The Wright Hair. I am fairly new to blogging about hair but I have been doing my little girls hairstyles since the day my oldest daughter was born. The first thing out of the doctors mouth was I hope you ordered a girl full of hair. When my 2nd daughter arrived we were not so lucky with the hair genes. She has thin short hair. It was with the frustrations I had trying to do my 2nd ones hair that I decided to start this blog. I figured if I struggled this much there must be others struggling too. I am a working mom and getting my girls ready every morning is the best time of the day for me. This is a time we get to bond without other distractions. Right now my girls and I are enjoying our time together. I am sure it will only be a short time before my oldest wants to do her own hair. But for now we invite you to join us on the Wrights Journey through hair. Because of being a working mom, sometimes we will do fancy dos and sometimes quick dos, other times the do's are dont's but we welcome everyone to come along for the ride.

Make it or Break it Another Lauren Hairstyle Braid to Bun

Lauren's hair on Make it or Break it TV show is one of our favorites. We love braids and she always has the cutest braids. So here is another one of our replications of her hair.
I started by making a french braid that started by hugging the front top of her hair and curved around her hair and ended just below the opposite ear.

The picture below shows the braid from the back.

Now pull the remaining hair into a low pony below her ear and include the braid.

Then just make a cute messy bun.

  2. I can't tell you how excited I was to stumble across your blog on Google. I'm not a mom, I'm actually a sixteen year old girl with this thick red hair. I know how fortunate I am to have such easily styled hair but I have no idea how to do anything but curl and straighten it. I don't know if you watched make it or break it tonight but Lauren had this great french braid that went across the top up her head and into a high ponytail. If you know what I'm talking about I'd love some tips. I've been attempting it for about half an hour now.

  3. I'm also a teenage girl and I love your blog! I wondered if anyone else noticed how cute Lauren's hairstyles were on the show. I have very unmanageable hair it's thick and very curly/frizzy and kinky. I am biracial and i think that is a big cause of my hair frustration. Anyways, I wear a lot of buns and I'm ecstatic that you show fun and interesting ways to wear bus (because trust me when you were your hair in a bun about 300 days of the year, it can get quite bland) so thank you, thank you, thank you!!

  4. YAY! I'm SO glad that I found your site, and as we speak, my hair is in this style. It may not look as good as your daughter's or Lauren's but hey, it'll do. I'm all about cute ways to put my hair up but with a braid, and I'm very excited to try out your other hairstyles. Thank you so much!!

  6. well, I am in many different sports, all I usually wear is a pony tail but i'm always looking for new ways to wear my hair, and I am in love with make it or break it, I've tried mocking her hair but it just doesn't work out! I am going to try this! does your hair have to be really long though?
